Tallow & Comb · beeswax, honey & warm light

He's almost out.

This workshop runs on one small flame, and the flame is failing. Wick has been burning on the last of his wax, alone, for a long time. He's frightened. He needs you before he needs anything else. Don't let him go out.

Scroll down, quickly ↓
drag the wax into his reservoir
First · feed him

Give him something to burn.

He's running on fumes. There's a fresh block of beeswax on the bench. Drag it into his reservoir and his flame will catch hold of it, steady, and grow. You'll feel the panic go out of him. Do this first; everything else waits until he's safe.

Drag the wax block into the base of the lantern.
● Steadied · he's not going out anymore
carry his flame to each candle
Then · let him give it back

Now he can light the rest.

Strong again, Wick wants to do the thing he's for. Carry his flame to each cold candle on the shelf. One by one they catch, and the whole workshop comes up out of the dark into honey-gold light. He couldn't do this until you saved him. Now he can't wait to.

Drag Wick to each candle to light it.
● The workshop is warm again

Tallow & Comb · a fictional workshop, one real little flame.
The reversal: you weren't welcomed by a confident host, you rescued a frightened one. You fed him before he could do anything for you, and once he was safe he lit the whole world in thanks. You didn't tour this place. You saved it.
